Top o' the Morning Energizing Green Smoothie

Ingredients
  • ½ cup strong brewed green tea
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • ¾ cup vanilla almond milk
  • ¾ cup mango, cubed (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup tightly packed spinach
  • 1-2 pitted dates, chopped
  • 3-4 ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Add chia seeds to the green tea and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Add all the ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth and uniform in consistency.
  3. Enjoy immediately.
Notes
You can brew several cups of green tea at one time and store in the refrigerator to use for a smoothie each morning.
I like to soak my chia seeds in the tea for 10-15 minutes prior to blending as they will soften up and become less gritty in texture.
